Coed Wernog, Ceredigion - 7 acres, £19,000

Coed Wernog

Coed Wernog is open, flat and sunny, surrounded by countryside.  It is mainly a young regenerating woodland with Willow, Rowan, Alder and Birch trees.  Two small streams intersect the woodland and flow through an area of conifer trees towards the Eastern boundary, where the flora is lush and mossy.  The wetland wildlife is thriving and it is the ideal location for creating ponds.  Frogs, newts and toads are abundant here and in Summer many dragonflies can be seen flying up and down the track.  Coed Wernog would make a great conservation project for someone wishing to develop the diversity and habitat, plant some trees and watch the woodland grow.

Buzzards and Red Kites are often seen above and on the ground there are  many different mosses, lichens, ferns, Field Scabious, Foxgloves and Rosebay Willow-herb.  Coed Wernog also has a very good hard track with an area wide enough to park and turn.

The village of Bronnant is within walking distance of this woodland and the popular university town of Aberystwyth is less than 10 miles.   The local area is very beautiful with many opportunites for exploring and the coast of Cardigan Bay is very easy to reach from Coed Wernog.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
